It’s my job to keep her safe.
But I want something in return.
Protect and serve?
I’ll protect her, all right.
But she’ll love me first.

I’m the Chief and Police and I get what I want. At least until I find Emma knee-deep in trouble.

Those gorgeous eyes, perfect hair, pouty lips. She makes a growl slip from my throat and I can’t stop myself before I offer her my protection.

There’s a catch, of course. I’ll keep her safe, but she better repay me over, and over, and over again.

My hands on her hips, pulling her close against my body, I’ll whisper in her ear.

You want safety? I want you.

I can't help myself. I'm falling for this girl, harder than I ever imagined.

She’s my new girl, and she'll get whatever she wants and much more.

His Thrust is an ultra hot and over the top dark romance featuring an older man and a younger woman. It has super steamy scenes and some bad language. It’s only recommended for readers 18+. If you love a gorgeous a--hole that gets what he wants, this book is for you!!

His Thrust is a safe standalone novella with no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. Enjoy!!

Note All my books are standalones and can be read in any order.

"I can enjoy a dark romance when the H is basically a good guy underneath, just maybe a little bit twisted. That’s not the case here. One reviewer said this book is “a little bit creepy”, I’d agree except it’s a lot creepy, not just a little bit. Enough that it should come with trigger warnings. I enjoy most of Hamel’s books but not this one, it went too far over the edge for me. And despite the HEA, I never got the sense that he actually loved her in any way. Read at your own risk."

His Secret A Dark Small Town Romance Pine Grove Book 3 edition by B B Hamel Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

  • This isn't your hearts and flowers kind of romance. More like damaged people with complementary illnesses. But if you believe everyone deserves love then this is for you. Strong elements of American Gothic run through the story some people will want to read it with the lights on. The sex is very well described and very very hot, Church ladies fainting in the aisle, type of hot. Every book in the series has been excellent and though they can be read as stand-alones I like revisiting the background characters.

  • I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of His Secret by B.B. Hamel. Another magnificent book delivered by B.B Hamel. The story was hot and amazing with wonderfully written characters who have an unmistakable connection. This is a definite must read that you wont want to miss out on.
  • I liked this one. It was a quick read. Relationship a little strange but I was kinda of rooting for them. Hot and steamy.
  • If you enjoyed any of B.B.'s other Pine Grove dark romances, then you're gonna love this one too. This can stand alone if you haven't.

Sometimes people end up in Pine Grove to hide, to blend in, to start over or some are just born into this small town that is also hiding something...it's many wild secrets, corruption, danger and darkness. It's in the middle of nowhere USA, surrounded by a beautiful forest, many places for bad things to happen. Pine Grove is one creepy place to be.

Emma is on the run, has chosen Pine Grove as her hiding place, but what is she trying to escape? She arrives late one night and steps right into Pine Grove's darkness, a witness to something she shouldn't have seen.

Rhett, handsome, much older and the town's police chief is now on the scene. Emma has no choice but to trust this man but should she? Rhett offers to help her but at what price? This dominant, intense man has secrets of his own, what will innocent little Emma do when she finds out what the payment will be?

This new release is certainly steamy, with that sexy but protective Rhett in 'charge'! Emma is inexperienced in life but has a tough, ass kicking side that Rhett can appreciate, he REALLY wants to show her how much.

His Taste is a sexy, fun, quick ly read new release that showed me another side of Pine Grove and it's citizens as more layers of crazy darkness are revealed.

An advanced copy of this new release was provided by the author for me read and give my honest review of it.
  • This small town gets creepier with each visit this author takes us there. Rhett (police chief) seemed sort of pervy and strange right from the start. I loved the age gap. I shudder to think what went down in that basement apartment before Emma! Rhett acts like his word is law and he's above it all and everyone is disposable or can be worked around. He may be hot, but I still get psycho vibes and looked for Emma to wake up dead (haha) at some point if she stays with young Charlie Manson jr. Emma seems psychologically damaged from her loving parent's actions, and she fits in with the cray cray of Rhett. Sick loves sick. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
  • Um, this one is a little bit creepy because of the over the top prisoner thing and the inferences of the other wanderers before Emma. Nothing is really explained. It is just a sense you get while reading, kind of like a Stephan King novel.

Emma is the twenty year old runaway that finds herself in the small town of Pine Grove which, is in the middle of nowhere. She has had a rough and disadvantaged upbringing. Now, she is a bit of a sticky legal situation and Rhett offers her help...with a catch.

There isn't much character development of Rhett, the Chief of Police. He does not seem in his right mind most of the time but, manages to find an attraction towards Emma he has never felt before. Their relationship is definitely different and scary at times but, they have some hot, passionate sex that dominates their minds and hearts to something that manages to get to a happily ever after.

The I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
  • 3.5 stars. A dark and different tale, this story was a departure for this author's previous works. While the characters were developed, the writing was good and the story flowed well; there was also a bit of a creep factor that didn't quite work for me.

While this book is very intense, dark, and dominant, there were a lot of emotions in the story for me; especially around the main female character. I enjoyed the characters together, but the main male character, on his own was a bit too much for me. At times felt borderline abusive/psychotic rather then romantic.

The plot was great and I enjoyed the uniqueness of this story. It was fun to read about a police chief and a small town. If you like dark, this might just be the book for you! I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.
